We always hear this, the grass is greener on the other side. We seemed to always think that everyone is living better than us. They have what we wanted. This is even aggravated by social media. People post online the life they wanted others to think they have. All those vacation photos, food trips, perks at work, and other luxurious things.
Before we venture out on going on the other side, try to assess your current situation and reflect on why the grass on your side isn’t green enough. The grass is greener on the other side because it is better managed and taken care of.
Evaluate first your own side of grasses, maybe it was just left uncared for, mismanaged, or even neglected. By looking into the specifics about why it looks better, we can see that it was just better managed than ours. Start caring for your grasses now, so it will become greener like the other side.
As Karon Waddel said, “Get busy watering your own grass so as not to notice whether it’s greener elsewhere.”
